So - the story goes like this, Kerian came back from 2 months away after meeting Ant Williams and said " I want to get into freediving - I had a go with Ant in Fiji and and it was great" - I just rolled my eyes and said "ok hun" - 2 years down the track hes done bloody well and Iwhile I claim to have been dragged into it kicking and screaming because of my fear of water, its now something I enjoy, both as a spectator, coach and official. Its a fun and relaxing sport.

Kerian has made it into the history books, being the 10th person in history to swim more than 200m on a single breath of air, and in April 2008 he set the NZ variable weight record of 74m on his very first attempt.

In September 07 I became an AIDA international E Level judge - and after some refreshing of skills in 07 and 08, I am now able to be an event medic as well.

Kerian and I had the privelidge of traveling to Deans Blue Hole for the Vertical Blue 2008 competition - its a beautiful place and the water there is amazing - so amazing infact my fear of water has been replaced with the motivation to also join Kerian freediving.

So this page is just a record for me of my freediving stuff, ie what i have judged and my progress in trying out freediving:
